We arrived after having to negotiate Cornwall Council's idea of fun, which was to put up closed signs on all the roads into the village and then start to dig them up! However once we got to the pub it was warm, friendly and the food was excellent. We will be going back. It made an excellent stop off point from the A30.

What a lovely pub and restaurant. Friendly staff in a traditional atmosphere. The food was superb, the scallops with black pudding I highly recommend. Very few chefs can cook scallops correctly, and she smashed it. Main meals were also to a high standard. Shame we found this place on our last night. It may be a little out of the way but you will not be disappointed.
Well presented pub/restaurant with friendly staff. There was a good selection of drinks on tap (including a selection of real ales). Adult food tasted as good as it looked and there was a good array of choices on the menu. Portion sizes were just right. Children's food seemed limited in choice - we were not offered a menu, maybe because our child had an idea of what he wanted and we bartered from there. Portion size of the child's meal was plentiful. WiFi was available. Prices were higher compared to other places we ate at locally. I'd definitely consider visiting again, but maybe not until our child is older - the atmosphere was quiet and he, well, isn't. Nobody said anything, but we felt the need to keep reminding him to not sing his favourite songs at high volume.
